Job summary

SNS Law Group, Inc. in Los Angeles seeks an associate attorney with 2 to 5 years of civil litigation to take ownership of an active real estate litigation caseload, including commercial and residential lease disputes, real property claims, and landlord-side litigation.

You will manage matters from intake through trial, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, and law and motion, with frequent court appearances and client contact from the start.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• 2–5 years civil litigation experience; real estate litigation preferred, but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage real estate and civil litigation matters from intake through trial, including strategy, pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Litigate disputes involving purchase/sale agreements, breach of contract, fraud, quiet title, partition, easements, and leases.
• Appear at case management conferences, ex parte hearings, settlement conferences, and bench/jury trials.
• Negotiate settlements, stipulations, and resolution agreements with opposing counsel and self-represented parties.
• Coordinate with paralegals and case managers to meet deadlines.

Job description

SNS Law Group, Inc. represents landlords, property managers, real estate investors, and property owners throughout Southern California in real estate and civil litigation, including purchase and sale disputes, breach of contract, quiet title and partition actions, lease disputes, and fair housing defense. We are a growing firm with a busy docket and real courtroom work. You will not be buried in document review. You will be in court, on the record, and in front of clients from the start.

We are looking for an associate attorney with 2 to 5 years of civil litigation experience to take ownership of an active real estate litigation caseload, including commercial and residential lease disputes, real property claims, and landlord-side litigation.

What you will do

• Manage real estate and civil litigation matters from intake through trial, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, and law and motion.
• Litigate disputes involving purchase and sale agreements, breach of contract, fraud, quiet title, partition, easements, and commercial and residential leases.
• Appear at case management conferences, ex parte hearings, mandatory settlement conferences, and bench and jury trials.
• Negotiate settlements, stipulations, and resolution agreements with opposing counsel and self-represented parties.
• Work with our paralegals and case managers to keep matters moving on tight statutory and court-imposed deadlines.

What we are looking for

• J.D. and active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• 2 to 5 years of civil litigation experience. Real estate litigation experience is strongly preferred, but we will train a strong litigator who wants to build this practice.
• Working knowledge of California real property law is a significant plus.
• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy, and the judgment to manage a substantial caseload independently.
• Comfort in a fast-paced, deadline-driven practice.

Compensation and benefits

• $120,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on experience, plus performance-based incentives.
