Job summary

Ascendion in Honolulu, Hawaii, invites applications for an Associate Attorney to join a growing, award-winning law firm in a hybrid work arrangement. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of legal experience and is admitted to practice in Hawaii, with exposure to Real Estate, Commercial, Construction, or Community Association matters.

Responsibilities include client meetings, drafting pleadings and briefs, arguing motions, and trial preparation, with a salary range of 100k–150k and comprehensive

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a legal setting.
• Prior experience in Real Estate, Commercial, Construction or Community Association work.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills; thrives in a team environment with self-starters.
• Admitted to practice and in good standing in Hawaii.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to review case strategy.
• Prepare pleadings, motions and briefs, and conduct legal research for complex matters in Superior and appellate courts.
• Argue motions in Superior Court and present oral arguments in appellate courts.
• Trial preparation including analysis of factual and legal issues related to compensability, valuation, and constitutional matters.
• Select witnesses and exhibits; prepare examination outlines.

We are working with an award winning law firm, looking to bring on an Associate Attorney to join their growing team. They are in expansion mode and this position will be hybrid. They are looking for someone with 1+ years of experience.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience
• Previous experience in one of the following areas; Real Estate, Commercial, Construction or Community Association
• Must have excellent written and oral advocacy skills, plus enjoy working in a team environment where self-starters excel
• Admitted to practice and in good standing in Hawaii

Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients to review case strategy
• Prepare pleadings, motions and briefs, and legal research for complex matters in Superior and appellate courts
• Argue motions in Superior Court and oral arguments in appellate courts
• Trial preparation includes review and analysis of all factual and legal issues relating to compensability, valuation, and constitutional matters
• Selection of witnesses and exhibits
• Preparation of written outline for examination of witnesses

The annual salary for this position is between 100k-150k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
