Job summary

AlerStallings, LLC seeks an experienced estate planning associate to support clients across Michigan. This in-office role requires handling complex estate planning, administration, and elder care matters while delivering compassionate, client-focused service.

You will work with a team that values grit, accountability, and real-world problem solving, traveling regionally to Detroit-area offices as needed to serve our clients.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of client-facing attorney experience.
• Admission to Michigan Bar.
• Admission to Ohio and Pennsylvania Bar (not required).
• Estate planning, administration, and elder care experience preferred.
• GRIT – accountability, ownership, problem-solving, toughness.
• In-office role with regional travel to Detroit-area offices (Detroit, Troy, Novi, Plymouth & Sterling Heights).

Responsibilities

• Client Engagement: engage leads and clients to help them navigate life’s legal hurdles.
• Customer Service: deliver excellent service to clients with patience and clear communication.
• Transactional Excellence: manage multiple estate planning cases, calls, and responsibilities daily.

AlerStallings law firm is looking for an experienced estate planning associate to support our clients in Troy, Sterling Heights, Novi and Plymouth. • Client Engagement: we deliver leads from preferred providers, seminars, radio, internet, and TV shows (The Expedition Retirement Show) – we expect you to engage these clients so that we can help them navigate life’s legal hurdles.
• Customer Service: providing excellent customer service to our clients, particularly demonstrating the patience and communication excellence necessary to connect with our clientele.
• Transactional Excellence: the estate planning practice has numerous cases, calls and other responsibilities concurrently happening each day, so team members must be world‑class at prioritization, organization, and delegation to succeed in this role.

• Competitive Base Salary ( $125,000 - $150,000 ) based on experience, plus other Bonus incentives.

Requirements

• Two (2) years+ of client‑facing attorney experience.
• Admission to Michigan Bar.
• Admission to Ohio and Pennsylvania Bar (not a requirement, but nice‑to‑have).
• Estate Planning, Administration, and Elder Care law experience is preferred.

• This role is in office and there is some regional travel required to our office locations in Detroit- Troy, Novi, Plymouth & Sterling Heights.
