Job description

A mid-size Chicago-based insurance defense firm has an immediate opening for Associate Attorneys in both our Chicago and St. Louis offices to handle local and national accounts. Admission to practice in Illinois is required, with preference given to candidates also admitted to the Texas, Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, or Iowa bar. Our firm’s expertise spans toxic tort, complex product liability, general liability, and professional liability. Position Overview:

This is a hands-on role requiring strong case management skills, precision in legal writing, and professionalism in depositions and court hearings across multiple jurisdictions. Candidates must be hard-working, motivated, and capable of independent work. Ideal candidates will possess excellent analytical and critical reasoning skills, the ability to think strategically under pressure, and a client-focused mentality.

Compensation and Benefits Overview: $90,000-$120,000 (DOE)

The compensation offered for this role will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Eligible employees may also receive bonuses and other forms of compensation, contributing to a comprehensive total rewards package. Benefits offerings may vary by location.
