Job summary

Simpson Judge is seeking an associate in Chicago with 2-5 years of civil litigation experience to join its Litigation practice.

The role covers all phases of litigation, including written discovery, research, depositions, court appearances, and briefing and motion practice in both state and federal court, with a focus on accident defense.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of civil litigation experience.
• Admission to the Illinois bar is required.
• Experience in the transportation industry and/or defending personal injury, property damage, or subrogation claims is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of litigation, including written discovery, research and case analysis, depositions, court appearances, and briefing and motion practice in state and federal court.
• Focus on accident defense while representing clients in a national-law-firm environment.
• Collaborate with partners and clients to develop case strategies and ensure timely progress.
