Job summary

Modern Family Law, a rapidly expanding national law firm specializing in Family Law, is seeking a hybrid Family Law Associate Attorney to join one of our California offices (San Jose, Oakland).

You will handle divorce, custody, and support matters, communicate directly with clients, draft pleadings, and appear in court or at depositions. The firm offers a remote-first setting with in-person requirements, relocation assistance, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of Family Law experience.
• Must relocate within a commutable distance to California offices (San Jose or Oakland) and relocation assistance provided.
• Experience in Family Law preferred; open to litigation candidates.
• Active admission to the California State Bar.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a client-focused mindset.

• Active admission to the California State Bar.

Compensation

$120,000 - $160,000 annually. The range presented is a reliable estimate of the base salary plus potential commissions based on billable hours and collections that this individual is expected to receive. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, billable hour expectations, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Full-time employees are eligible for health insurance with an optional Health Savings Account (HSA), short-term disability, long-term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k) Retirement Plan, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
