Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with active Bar admission (required).
• Experience in real estate, construction, and/or landlord/tenant law preferred.
• Experience with California civil procedure and civil litigation practice.
• Approximately 5 years of legal drafting experience preferred.
• Approximately 5 years of legal research experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven ability to build rapport and communicate clearly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Representing clients in court proceedings and hearings.
• Appearing before government agencies on behalf of clients.
• Preparing and drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Handling law and motion practice from research through argument.

Join a small, focused practice where real estate, construction, and landlord/tenant disputes are front and center. You’ll actually get into court, draft the key motions, and negotiate resolutions that matter to businesses and property owners.

This is hands-on lawyering, not just back-office briefing.

What You'll Work On

You’ll be in the mix on a steady flow of civil matters with a strong real estate flavor, including:

• Construction-related matters
• California civil litigation in trial courts
• Negotiated settlements and dispute resolution
• Law and motion practice
• Regulatory and compliance-driven matters

You’ll apply California civil procedure daily as you drive matters forward through motion work, discovery strategy, and negotiation.
