  • Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and client-communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload involving family law and criminal defense matters.
  • Advise and represent clients from initial strategy through resolution, hearing, or trial.
  • Appear in court for conferences, motion hearings, contested hearings, and trials.
  • Conduct discovery, legal research, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, settlement agreements, and appellate briefs.
  • Negotiate with opposing counsel and prosecutors while preparing for litigation.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative teams.
  • Manage deadlines, case strategy, and client expectations responsibly.
