The Department of Radiation Oncology at Memorial Sloan Cancer Center (MSKCC) is seeking a qualified Radiation Oncologist candidate for the position of Director, Metastatic Disease Team.

The Metastatic Disease Team in the Department of Radiation Oncology at MSK focuses on the treatment of metastatic disease across primary tumor types. Since its inception in 2017, the team has developed a wide-ranging research portfolio of clinical, translational, and health services studies that examine the role of radiation in the context of metastatic disease. The group also has constructed clinical guidelines pertaining to the indications for radiation and the optimal techniques, including ablative regimens such as stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) in the context of metastases. It has collaborated closely with surgery, Anesthesia Pain, and Supportive care, Medical Oncology and Early Drug Development teams to initiate multidisciplinary clinics and research efforts. The Metastatic Director will oversee the clinical and research operations of this disease team, which involves approximately 20 faculty across disease sites.

The position will involve approximately 50% clinical effort, with a potential, partial focus on metastatic cancer, and 50% dedicated research time (pending the clinical or clinical-academic track). The research component of the role can be performed at any Memorial Sloan Kettering facility. Candidates in the research track would be expected to develop both clinical and translational research, such as clinical trials, biospecimen studies, patient-reported outcomes, and health services research.

The Department of Radiation Oncology at MSKCC treats approximately 14,500 patients across 7 locations, with 65 faculty members.

Pay Range: $500,000 - $700,000

Physician compensation is based on multiple variables. This range represents annual salary only and does not include supplemental performance-based pay or any one-time payments that eligible candidates may be offered at the time of hire.
