We are seeking an Associate Designer to provide entry-level design support for commercial interiors and contract furniture applications. This role supports assigned project work through space planning, furniture layouts, specifications, presentation materials, and design documentation while developing technical proficiency, product knowledge, and understanding of MillerKnoll standards.
The Associate Designer works under close to moderate guidance, contributes to assigned project deliverables, collaborates with cross-functional partners, and builds the technical accuracy, product knowledge, application judgment, and communication skills needed to progress toward more independent application design responsibilities. This is an early-career professional role intended for someone with strong design fundamentals, curiosity about workplace strategy, and a desire to grow within the contract furniture industry.
The Associate Designer provides foundational design support for commercial interior and furniture application projects. This position assists with the development of layouts, specifications, drawings, renderings, presentation materials, and project documentation while applying established MillerKnoll standards and tools under guidance from more experienced designers. The role contributes to assigned project work, maintains accurate documentation, communicates progress and risks, and supports internal partners in delivering high-quality design solutions.
