Job summary

Corteva Agriscience in Indianapolis is seeking an Associate Analytical Scientist to join the Analytical R&D Team within Product Science and Technology. This role supports analytical studies and the development and validation of methods for crop protection and biological products.

Under SME guidance, you will generate data, transfer methods to QC laboratories, and contribute to automated workflows and continuous improvements in analytical capabilities.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science is required.
  • Two or more years of relevant work experience with LC, GC, MS preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Commitment to EH&S and safe work practices.

  • Collaborate with project teams to perform experiments and report results.
  • Conduct analytical studies and non-GLP verifications under SME guidance.
  • Generate and document analytical data following study design and guidance.
  • Interpret data, troubleshoot, and implement analytical solutions with SME support.
  • Assist in transfer of methods to QC laboratories and support automation efforts.

Associate Analytical Scientist

The Associate Analytical Scientist role is part of the Analytical R&D Team within Product Science and Technology (PS&T) at Corteva Agriscience. This role works under the guidance of experienced Analytical Scientists and subject matter experts (SMEs) to conduct analytical studies and laboratory work that enable analytical method development, validation, and data generation supporting both new and existing crop health products.

What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with project teams, Analytical SMEs, and other analytical team members to efficiently perform experiments and communicate results to stakeholders within defined timelines.
  • Perform analytical studies, including non-GLP method verification activities under the guidance of Analytical SMEs, in support of formulation development, registration, and production of crop protection and biological products.
  • Generate and document analytical data in accordance with established study design, best practices, and guidance from Analytical SMEs.
  • Process and interpret analytical data, troubleshoot experimental challenges, and implement analytical solutions with support and mentorship from Analytical SMEs as needed.
  • Escalate and collaborate with Analytical SMEs for more complex issues as needed to meet study requirements.
  • Support transfer of established analytical methods to QC laboratories and collaborate with QC teams during method transfer and troubleshooting activities if problems arise.
  • Actively collaborate with the team to support the development and implementation of automated and digital tools, and high-throughput workflows to drive continuous improvement in analytical workflows and capabilities.
  • Support daily operations of the analytical laboratories by maintaining analytical instrumentation, laboratory areas, and documentation.
  • Continuously developing technical expertise through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship from Analytical SMEs.
What Skills You Need:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related science is required.
  • Two or more years of relevant work experience with analytical chemistry techniques such as LC, GC, MS is preferred.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, and customer-focused environment.
  • Demonstrates flexibility to accommodate urgent projects while maintaining data quality and compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of stakeholders and peers.
  • Demonstrates commitment to environmental health and safety (EH&S) by following applicable policies and promoting safe work practices.
