Job description

We are seeking an experienced Associate to lead and execute investment banking mandates and principal investment initiatives across Asia-Pacific and global markets. This role offers significant responsibility in deal execution, client management, and strategic investment decisions.

Responsibilities

1 Investment Banking Activities

Lead and manage investment banking transactions from origination to execution:

• Drive M&A processes including deal structuring, negotiation, and documentation
• Lead private placements and capital raising initiatives
• Manage cross-border transactions involving China, US, and Australian markets
• Supervise and mentor Analysts in financial modeling and valuation work
• Develop comprehensive transaction strategies and client recommendations
• Present to senior management and board-level stakeholders

Own client relationships and coordinate with external advisors:

• Serve as primary contact for clients during transaction execution
• Manage relationships with legal, accounting, and consulting advisors
• Coordinate due diligence processes and information flow

Take ownership of principal investment opportunities from sourcing to exit:

• Originate and evaluate investment opportunities across target sectors
• Lead due diligence processes and investment committee presentations
• Structure transactions and negotiate investment terms
• Actively support portfolio companies through board participation and strategic guidance
• Monitor portfolio performance and drive value creation initiatives
• Develop exit strategies and execute liquidity events

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree or above from a top-tier university; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred

Experience: 3-6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or related fields at a reputable institution; cross-border transaction experience highly valued

Technical Skills: Demonstrated expertise in:

• Financial modeling and valuation methodologies
• Transaction structuring and documentation
• Due diligence and investment analysis

Leadership: Proven ability to manage deal teams, mentor junior staff, and drive projects to completion

Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin Chinese proficiency strongly preferred
