Job summary

Gilmartin Group LLC is seeking a motivated Associate to join our in-person team in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will work with senior executives to manage investor relations projects, craft investor-facing materials, and track market trends across the United States.

The role involves coordinating earnings processes, preparing conference materials, and supporting strategic advisory activities. A FINRA exam path is supported, and a collaborative, meritocratic culture is emphasized.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Finance or Business preferred; but candidates with related degrees may be considered.
• 2–4+ years of full-time, professional work experience.
• Strong analytical and writing skills are essential.
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently; keen interest in equity markets and corporate finance.

Responsibilities

• Support client teams across investor relations, strategic communications, financial analysis, and capital markets reporting.
• Track and report on client and peer business developments and financial results.
• Create and maintain IR calendar including conferences and roadshows; assist with earnings processes and press materials.
• Prepare materials for Board and internal audiences; contribute to client meetings and presentations.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Gilmartin is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the position as an Associate. This role is based in-person in the San Francisco Bay Area and may involve occasional, paid travel to client and conference locations across the United States.

Successful candidates will work closely with senior Gilmartin executives to manage client engagements, strategize and develop investor-facing materials on behalf of clients, build capital markets advisory materials to present to clients, and gain experience as part of a strategic advisory team. The role will also include tracking and presenting on sector trends and data, project managing initial public offerings (IPOs) and other capital raise activities, and creating and sharing internal best practice materials.

In this role, Associates will be asked to take their FINRA Licensing Exams: SIE, Series 82, and Series 63, and potentially Series 79.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

• Support Gilmartin team and client companies in a broad and dynamic range of responsibilities spanning investor relations, strategic communications, financial analysis, and capital markets reporting
• Track and report on client and competitor/peer business developments and financial results
• Key member of functional client teams managing several deliverables including:
• Creating and maintaining IR calendar for year – including investor conferences, non-deal roadshows and other major events
• Contributing to quarterly earnings process – conference call logistics, drafting press releases, speaker scripts, Q&A materials, and presentation materials
• Collecting and analyzing sell side estimates and maintain consensus model
• Managing investor meetings and conference presentations, including logistics, background materials and the preparation of senior executives
• Maintaining IR section of corporate website
• Responding to investor inquiries; logging inquiries, maintain database of investor activities
• Monitoring and compiling peer group research; following industry, competitor and customer developments and news flow including earnings calls and analyst days - communicating key takeaways to management teams
• Preparing materials for Board of Directors and other internal audiences on investor relations activities, share ownership, and valuation as required
• Participate in client meetings and calls
• Assist with the preparation of presentation materials
• Review and recommend content and updates for IR website
• Travel, as needed, to investor conferences and meetings

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• BA/BS degree; Finance or business degree preferred; but successful candidates have had degrees from biology to international relations
• 2-4+ years of full-time, professional work experience
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task with efficiency
• Keen interest in equity markets and corporate finance
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Fast typing and ability to edit materials quickly in Microsoft Office suite
