Boardwalk Pipelines, LP is seeking an Assoc. Field Technician/Field Technician/Sr. Field Technician for the Dubach, LA area.

The role entails on-site execution of daily pipeline operations, safety, and maintenance activities within the Sharon system. Qualified candidates will perform valve inspections, tank gauging, pipeline locating, patrolling, and call-out duties, ensuring regulatory compliance and safe operation across DOT standards.

Qualifications

• Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent verbal communications skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and organizational abilities are essential.
• History of safe work practices is required.
• Current driver’s license with clean record is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily operation and maintenance tasks for the Sharon pipeline system.
• Perform valve inspection and maintenance, tank gauging, pipeline locating and patrolling.
• Handle one call duties and related construction tasks; preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Support meter stations, corrosion control, and right-of-way maintenance.
• Recognize and report abnormal or safety-related conditions; participate in emergency response.

We are currently looking for an Assoc. Field Tech/Field Tech/Sr. Field Tech for our Dubach, LA office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

To carry out daily operation and maintenance tasks associated with the Sharon pipeline system in the Sharon Area. This position will be responsible for environmental, health & safety for natural gas transmission through the pipeline system. Specific duties will consist of, but are not limited to, valve inspection and maintenance, tank gauging, pipeline locating, pipeline patrolling, and one call duties for the pipeline. This position will be responsible for performing all assigned construction duties as well as preventive pipeline maintenance and operations related to meter station, corrosion control, and right of way maintenance. This position will be responsible for recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting, as well as emergency response. In this role, you will also be responsible for regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance, and repair procedures associated with DOT, industry standards, manufacturer, and company guidelines as they relate to facility equipment and appurtenances. This position will be expected to respond to call‑outs and be on a call‑out rotation related to pipeline and compressor station activities. Qualified candidates must live within 30 miles of Sharon Station to respond to call outs expediently. A successful candidate will be required to complete Core Blocks in Safety, Environmental and Company policies and procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Physical requirements – standing/walking; climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolds; bending/stooping/squatting; carrying and lifting items 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet
• Working conditions – exposure to extreme heat and cold temperatures and enclosed spaces
• Excellent verbal communications skills
• Problem solving skills and ability to manage filing system
• History of safe work
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Current Driver’s License with clean record.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working with natural gas pipelines and compressor facilities as well as familiar with DOT 192 Regulations
• College or technical school degree
• Mechanical and/or Electrical degree
• Mechanical and/or Electrical industry related training
