The EMS support group (ESG) creates and maintains the digital representation of the transmission grid. ESG s responsible for the maintenance and support of the data and functionality in the Energy Management System (EMS) and Total Outage Application (iTOA). Maintain all model related changes in the EMS and responsible for all database changes in iTOA. The model maintenance includes adding and updating ratings for the transmission equipment and contingency definitions. The engineers also provide support for all EMS application functionality. Provide real time engineering / operations support to System Operations staff focused on State Estimator and Contingency Analysis solutions. Development and review of operating procedures.
The Associate Engineer supports experienced engineers in the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of Exelon's utility infrastructure, including electric or gas distribution, transmission, substations, and related systems. This entry-level role involves assisting with engineering studies, technical calculations, specifications, permitting, work packages, and performance evaluations to ensure system safety, reliability, and compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. Note: This is a hybrid position (in-office with remote flexibility). Employees are required to be in office at least three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). This position must sit out of our Kennett Square - PA office.
