Job summary

Unified Care Services seeks an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) in a full-time on-site role in Sanford, FL. The position focuses on evaluating patients, prescribing and configuring mobility and communication devices, and coordinating care with families and clinicians.

Qualifications

• Degree in Rehabilitation Science or a related field.
• Current ATP certification through RESNA (required)
• 2–3 years of experience in assistive technology, rehabilitation, or a related field preferred
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities across clinical, home, school, or workplace settings
• Strong assessment, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Comfortable with spreadsheets, word processing, and email
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (past 3 years)
• Excellent communication skills for working with diverse patients and families

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ functional limitations and assistive technology needs
• Perform on-site assessments in homes, schools, and workplaces to determine accessibility requirements
• Recommend and customize mobility aids, communication devices, adaptive equipment, and computer access technology
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, therapists, and case managers to coordinate care
• Assist with ordering, procurement, assembly, fitting, and calibration of assistive devices
• Train patients and caregivers on the safe, effective use of their equipment
• Provide detailed documentation to support funding and insurance justification
• Perform quality assurance checks, routine maintenance, and basic repairs on rehab equipment
• Educate healthcare providers and community members on available assistive technology solutions
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency equipment issues as needed

Unified Care Services is a pediatric home health and DME/pharmacy provider serving families across Miami-Dade and Broward County. We're looking for a certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) to join our Complex Rehab Technology team and help patients access the mobility, communication, and adaptive equipment they need to live more independently.

What You'll Do
