Job summary

Hillcrest Health & Living is seeking a Personal Care Assistant/Certified Medication Aide for the Hillcrest Grand Lodge in Papillion, NE. The role involves providing quality personal care, medication assistance, and daily living support to residents in an Assisted Living setting.

Responsibilities include documenting care in the EMR, assisting with activities of daily living, and participating in resident activities under supervision of licensed staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Nebraska 40-hour Medication Aide certification required.
• Experience with the elderly in assisted living or dementia care preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform ADLs.
• Comfort using technology and EMR systems.

• Administer medications following the five rights and document administration.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and hygiene.
• Take vital signs as ordered and report out-of-range results.
• Support residents with meals and dining and ensure residents are accounted for.
• Complete documentation in the EMR by exception in DAR format.

Schedule: Part-time Evenings, 5:00 PM- 10:00PM & Full-Time 2:00-10:00

Hillcrest Health & Living is currently seeking a Personal Care Assistant/Certified Medication Aide – Assisted Living to join our team at Hillcrest Grand Lodge in Papillion, NE.

At Hillcrest Grand Lodge, our Personal Care Assistants play an important role in supporting residents with quality personal care, daily living services, and medication assistance. This role is a great fit for someone who is compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to helping residents live with dignity, comfort, and choice.

What You’ll Get To Do

• Provide quality personal care and daily living support for residents
• Provide medications to residents following the five rights and accurately document medication provision
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, hygiene, and adaptive devices
• Take vital signs as ordered and report out-of-range results to the Nurse Manager or Director of Health Services
• Assist with meals and dining by helping residents to and from meals and ensuring residents are accounted for
• Support health maintenance activities with oversight from a licensed healthcare professional
• Launder resident personal clothing and linens
• Communicate resident concerns or needs with the nurse and oncoming/off-going shifts
• Complete documentation in the EMR by exception in DAR format
• Assist with general cleaning, including removing trash, making beds, organizing, and vacuuming
• Help implement and support scheduled resident activities as needed

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certified as a 40-hour Medication Aide in the state of Nebraska
• Experience working with the elderly in an Assisted Living or Dementia Care setting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stay calm, flexible, and professional in stressful situations
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive sitting, bending, and standing movements
• Comfort using technology and resources efficiently
