Genesis HealthCare seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Assisted Living team. You will assist residents with daily living activities and support compassionate patient care.

Under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse, you will deliver essential nursing support, monitor patient needs, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment in accordance with state guidelines.

Qualifications

• State-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program and current certification required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English for patient safety.
• Verification of TST as required by state law and policy.
• Basic computer knowledge or willingness to learn.
• Attend a minimum of 12 hours continuing education to maintain certification.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with ADLs, including personal care, mobility, and feeding.
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, intake and output accurately.
• Assist with ambulation and transfers, ensuring proper body alignment.
• Prepare patients for therapy, transport, and ensure comfort.
• Maintain a safe environment, respond to call lights promptly.
• Perform skin care and apply simple dressings as permitted by state regulations.
• Report changes in condition or concerns to the charge nurse.

Responsibilities

You will work under the direction of a Licensed Nurse to deliver efficient and effective nursing care in a Assisted Living setting, ensuring positive clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. You'll play a vital role in supporting our patients' personal needs and comfort, functioning within the standards of your certification.

Position Highlights

• Assist patients with daily living activities (ADLs), including personal care, mobility, and feeding.

• Help patients with ambulation and transfers, ensuring proper body alignment.
• Prepare patients for therapy, transport them, and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients, including making beds and responding promptly to call lights.
• Perform skin care treatments and apply simple dressings as permitted by state regulations.
• Report any changes in patient condition, concerns, or complaints to the charge nurse.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved Certified Nursing Assistant program and current certification is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and respond to their medical and physical needs.
• Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy.
• Basic knowledge of computers or willingness to learn.
• Must attend a minimum of 12 hours continuing education programs provided by the center to maintain certification.
