Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants for our Assisted Living team in Agawam, MA.

You will work under a Licensed Nurse to deliver nursing care, support daily living activities, and ensure patient comfort in a respectful, compassionate environment. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, recording vitals, aiding transfers, helping with therapy preparation, and maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• Must have a state-approved CNA program and current certification.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test).
• Basic knowledge of computers or willingness to learn.
• Must attend a minimum of 12 hours continuing education annually.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with ADLs, including personal care, mobility, and feeding.
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, intake and output accurately.
• Assist with ambulation and transfers, ensuring proper body alignment.
• Prepare patients for therapy, transport them, and ensure comfort.
• Maintain a safe environment, make beds, and respond to call lights.
• Perform skin care treatments and apply simple dressings as allowed by state regulations.
• Report changes in patient condition or concerns to the charge nurse.

• *Basic knowledge of computers or willingness to learn.
• *Must attend a minimum of 12 hours continuing education programs provided by the center to maintain certification.

Restrictions apply based on collective bargaining agreements, applicable state law and factors such as pay classification, job grade, location, and length of service.

Posted Salary Range

USD $19.00 - USD $19.00 /Hr.
