Kids for the Future in Oshkosh, WI is seeking an Education Assistant to support Assisted Learning teachers in the classroom. The role involves supervising instructional activities, aiding students with learning goals and accommodations, and assisting with clerical tasks.
The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and be able to work with both groups and individuals to support student progress during the school year.
Position Reports to: Assisted Learning Director
Position Classification: Three days a week; 7:30-3:30 , at-will, non-exempt, school year, hourly
Minimum high school diploma; college preferred

Assisted Learning Education Assistants work with both classroom and Assisted Learning teachers to accomplish classroom objectives, provide in class support, and provide needed accommodations or services for identified students.
Supervise instructional activities to help students understand lessons
Ability to work with and support students with disabilities and/or specific learning goals and accommodations
Work with small groups of students or with one student at a time
Help Assisted Learning teachers with clerical tasks
Confer with classroom teachers on student support and accommodations
Oversee students outside of the classroom during scheduled and unscheduled breaks
Work with students who need additional instruction
Prepare materials and equipment for activities
Discuss students' progress with the Assisted Learning teacher
Provide oversight of students during activities such as recess or lunch
Monitor related virtual service appointments, as needed
Other position appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the Principal or Head of School.
