Job summary

Glen Ridge Board of Education is seeking a head coach to organize and supervise the comprehensive high school sports program. The role requires coaching experience in the assigned sport and strong technical knowledge, while remaining open to new theories and procedures in the field.

The head coach reports to the athletic director and collaborates with principals and staff to guide student-athletes in skill development, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport (Major sports).
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.
• Must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.

Responsibilities

• Organize athletic policies and ensure implementation by the staff.
• Understand system, state and league regulations; interpret them for staff.
• Follow proper administrative lines of command and coordinate with meetings.
