Job summary

McHenry Community Consolidated School District 15 in McHenry, IL seeks an Assistant Wrestling Coach for McHenry Middle School for the 2026-2027 season. The position is temporary and reports to the building principal.

Responsibilities include developing student athletes by teaching fundamentals, planning practices, and fostering a positive team environment. Prior coaching or competitive playing experience is preferred. Stipend provided.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching or competitive wrestling preferred.
• Knowledge of wrestling fundamentals and safety.
• Ability to plan and run practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop student athletes by teaching fundamental skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting good sportsmanship.
• Teach fundamental wrestling rules, strategies, and techniques.
• Plan and execute practices.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and safe team environment.
• Previous coaching or competitive playing experience preferred.
