Job summary

The Assistant Wrestling Coach is responsible for helping to manage all aspects of the Wrestling program. The coach will foster student-athlete development by emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, skill development, and academic success while ensuring compliance with school, league, and state athletic regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct practices that develop individual and team skills
• Coach and supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, and team activities
• Promote good sportsmanship, leadership, and positive character
• Maintain effective communication with student-athletes, parents, school administration and the athletic department
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all student athletes
• Monitor student-athlete eligibility and academic progress
• Supervise team personnel as assigned
• Help maintain and inventory program equipment and uniforms
• Follow all school, conference, and MIAA rules, policies and procedures
• Perform other coaching duties as assigned
