Job summary

Stanford University in Palo Alto is seeking an Assistant Coach, Women's Tennis to support the Head Coach of the Women’s Tennis program in a Division I athletics program. This fixed‑term, on‑site position involves assisting with recruiting, training, practice, fundraising, budget management, and team travel.

The successful candidate will plan and organize training, manage equipment, assist with travel, and ensure compliance with NCAA regulations.

Qualifications

College degree or equivalent experience required.
Minimum of three years coaching experience or equivalent.
Previous Division I level competition preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with student-athletes, peers and the public.
Computer literacy with Word and Excel required.
Ability to understand and comply with Stanford, ACC, and NCAA rules.
Ability to work cooperatively with staff and university community.

Responsibilities

Assist Head Coach with recruiting student-athletes to Stanford.
Assist with training, practice, fundraising, budget management, and team travel.
Help plan and organize team training and practice sessions.
Organize equipment and apparel; manage travel arrangements for tournaments.
Follow NCAA guidelines and University standards in recruiting.
