Job summary

Tessco Inc. is hiring an Assistant WMS / TMS Administrator to serve as second-in-command for our WMS platform. You will own specific workstreams, help with site rollouts, reporting, and be the primary TMS administrator while cross-training for Lead Administrator duties.

The role is on-site in Hunt Valley, MD or Reno, NV with responsibilities spanning RFSmart, FreightPOP, ticket triage, and project leadership. A strong ERP background and travel willingness are required.

Qualifications

• 13 years of TMS, WMS, ERP, or warehouse operations systems experience.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or a comparable ERP preferred.
• Comfortable with RF scanning hardware and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel to sites as needed (10–20%).

Responsibilities

• Maintain full working knowledge of RFSmart configuration, security, and integration setup as a redundancy to the Lead Administrator.
• Own day-to-day support tickets escalated from Site WMS Coordinators; triage and resolve or escalate further.
• Maintain working knowledge of FreightPOP TMS system.
• Own the day-to-day support tickets for FreightPop.
• Lead assigned projects such as new-location rollouts, workflow changes, or reporting builds.
• Assist with testing of system updates and changes before they go live.
• Support training delivery for Site WMS Coordinators and new warehouse staff.
• Monitor system performance and data integrity across locations; flag anomalies to the Lead Administrator.
• Maintain WMS and TMS documentation for the workstreams they own.
• Act as primary WMS contact during Lead Administrator's absence (PTO, travel, etc.)
