The Assistant Warehouse Manager will oversee the efficient and accurate handling of materials in the warehouse for a leading flooring company. This role is critical in ensuring that all materials received from suppliers are properly counted and checked in, and that materials destined for jobsites are accurately staged and delivered. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will support the Warehouse Manager in maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse operations, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support project timelines.

Responsibilities include:

• Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Documenting discrepancies, damages, or missing items.
• Storing materials properly in designated locations.
• Coordinating the staging and delivery of materials to jobsites.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records through regular counts and audits.
• Assisting in overseeing daily warehouse activities and ensuring safety compliance.
• Supporting training and supervision of warehouse staff.
• Collaborating with project teams to ensure timely material availability.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations or related field, preferably in flooring or construction.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking software such as RFMS.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift and Lull certification or willingness to obtain.
