Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework related to law enforcement or corrections.
• Must obtain bachelor’s degree within 2 years of hire date.
• Must be currently certified by the Maryland Correctional Training Commission.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and supervises Correctional Officers to ensure 24-hour jail coverage.
• Reviews personnel matters in accordance with county rules and regulations.
• Directs the intake, housing, and classification of incarcerated individuals and supervises staff.
