You will set and style floor sets, maintain signage, coordinate with store leadership and sales associates, and help train the team on visual standards while ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations.

Role Description

The Assistant Visual Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Short Hills, NJ. This role supports the Visual Manager in executing merchandising and visual presentation standards throughout the store, ensuring that displays reflect brand guidelines and seasonal strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting and styling floor sets, maintaining signage and fixture standards, and updating product placement to drive sales and enhance the customer experience. The Assistant Visual Manager collaborates closely with store leadership and sales associates to align visual execution with business goals, monitors inventory presentation, and helps train team members on visual standards. The role also involves responding to real-time store needs, supporting promotional changes, and ensuring that all visual activities are completed safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated strength in visual merchandising, floor set execution, and styling home furnishings or related products.
• Experience in retail store operations, including working with store leadership, coordinating with sales teams, and supporting promotional activities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to interpret and implement brand visual guidelines, with a keen eye for detail, color, balance, and spatial layout.
• Comfort with physical aspects of the role, including lifting, moving fixtures and products, and standing for extended periods in a retail setting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to train and guide team members on visual standards.
• Previous experience in visual merchandising or retail management is preferred; experience in home furnishings or lifestyle brands is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in design, merchandising, or a related field is beneficial.
