Job summary

WSP USA, Inc. invites a seasoned Assistant Vice President in Transportation Planning to join its Advisory & Planning practice in Texas, with a preference for Houston.

The role emphasizes client advisory, project and staff leadership, and end-to-end management of transportation planning programs across Texas. The candidate will guide multi-disciplinary teams through siting, impact assessment, regulatory processes, and project delivery while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and safety

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in transportation planning, environmental planning, or policy work.
• Bachelor''s degree in the stated fields is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transportation planning projects in Texas, ensuring staff know what to do and by when, while managing budgets, hours, and expenses.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams through siting, impact assessment, approval, and permitting phases for transportation planning projects.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local agency laws and regulations.
• Support strategy, growth, and pipeline development of Transportation Planning in the assigned area, across planning, design, consulting, and program management.
• Perform transportation planning work, investigations, surveys, and analyses to inform equitable development and multimodal planning.
• Lead contract negotiations, presentations, and meetings, and summarize data to support regulatory conclusions.
