Job summary

Green Chimneys is seeking an Assistant Unit Supervisor to oversee the needs of all residents in the Unit within a 24/7 residential treatment setting. In the absence of the Unit Supervisor, you will complete paperwork, lead staff meetings, and support treatment teams while maintaining a structured dorm program.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services or a related field and at least two years of residential child care experience, with weekend and evening hours included.

• Weekend and evening hours are required since the residential treatment center is open 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Ensure necessary daily paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely fashion.
• Conduct staff meetings and participate in treatment team meetings.
• Delegate responsibilities as needed and implement a structured dorm program as outlined by Unit Supervisor.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Role Overview:

The Assistant Unit Supervisor is responsible for the needs of all residents in the Unit. In the absence of the Unit Supervisor, the following will also be expected of the Assistant Unit Supervisor: completion/submission of paperwork, conducting staff meetings and participating in treatment team meetings, assisting Behavior Support in conducting investigations, and communicating staff performance to supervisor as needed. Specific Responsibilities include ensuring that necessary daily paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely fashion, conducting staff meetings and participates in treatment team meetings, a strong ability to delegate responsibilities as needed and implementation of a structured dorm program as outlined by Unit Supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field preferred. Minimum of two years experience in a residential child care setting required.
