Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Fingerprint clearance card (IVP) required.
• NFHSA coaching certifications required (Concussion, Fundamentals of Coaching, Bullying & Hazing, AIA Information).
• Must meet NFHS rules for coaches.
• Understanding of district athletic program goals.
• Knowledge of coaching techniques & human behavior.
• Strong communication with students, staff, parents, and community.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proper sportsmanship and respect for peers, officials, opponents, fans, and other coaches.
• Motivate students to participate and sustain interest in the program.
• Supervise coaching staff at all levels and promote teamwork.
• Assist Athletic Director with game schedules, practices, facility use, transportation, and budget.
• Provide information to school officials and AIA promptly.
• Serve as a positive role model for students, staff, and community.
