Responsibilities

• Assists in conducting practices and developing a regular practice schedule for track and field athletes.
• Instructs student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare for competition.
• Motivates student athletes to develop an appreciation of the sport.
• Assists with assessing players' skills and assigning team positions.
• Observes players during practice and competition and informs Head Coach of improvement needs.
• Assists with determining game strategy based on team capabilities.
• Maintains pupil behavior standards and supervises athletes at all times.
• Follows procedures for athlete injury and for equipment, supplies, and uniform care and requisitioning.
