Job summary

Cherokee County School District’s Blacksburg High School in Blacksburg, South Carolina is seeking an Assistant Track and Field Coach to support the head coach with practices and athlete development. You will help implement event-specific training, communicate with staff and parents, and uphold district standards while promoting sportsmanship and school spirit.

Applicants should have prior high school coaching experience, current First Aid/CPR certification, and a demonstrated ability to work

Qualifications

• Prior successful coaching experience at the high school level.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required for coaching.
• Bus driver certification preferred.
• Proven track record with age-appropriate skill development.
• Knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
• Relates well with students and other high school programs to promote school and community spirit.

Responsibilities

Salary: Supplemental based on District Athletic Scale
