Job summary

UB Child Care Center on a university campus is hiring a Assistant Toddler Teacher to join a warm, supportive childcare team. You will assist the lead teacher and help create a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers.

The role is full-time with daytime hours (7:30 AM–5:30 PM). Benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, and a 401(k). Prior daycare experience and an early childhood education credential are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous daycare or early childhood classroom experience required.
• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
• Assist with daily routines including meals, activities, and transitions.
• Help foster a positive, nurturing environment for toddlers.
• Communicate effectively with team members and families.

Position Details

• Full-time position (8-hour shift between 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday)
• Starting pay: $16.25-$21.25 per hour, based on experience
