Job summary

Acquire4Hire LLC is seeking an assistant teacher for the Toddler classroom to cover temporary leave. The role requires responsiveness to children's needs, flexibility, and collaboration with families, Lead Teacher, and Center Director.

You will assist with curriculum, circle time, meals, diapering, and promoting self-help skills, while maintaining a professional, courteous team attitude and participating in center-wide projects and professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• Completion of a 45-hour child development course is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher with curriculum and circle time.
• Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities.
• Participate in meal times and diapering responsibilities.
• Support rest time and classroom cleaning.

Job description

About This Role

This is a temporary job available during temporary leave of current employee and will coincide with that leave. The assistant teacher in the Toddler classroom must be able to be quick to respond to children's needs, able to be flexible and supportive for families, handle duties as given by Lead Teacher and Center Director, including but not limited to feeding, supporting potty training, helping children with self-help skills, and assisting in developmentally appropriate play and activities.

What You'll Do

Supporting Lead teacher with curriculum, engaging in circle time, rest time, variety of activities to help children develop appropriate skills. Have a sense of humor, be a team player, cooperate in center-wide projects, be professional and courteous with families and colleagues, contribute ideas and support children with curriculum and projects. Participate in meal times, diapering responsibilities, cleaning the classroom, and doing personal professional development.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, current CPR/1st aid card, completion of 45 hour course on child development, ability to lift up to 50 pounds
