Job summary

Dreamwear in New York is seeking an Assistant Textile Print Designer to join the Print team. You will work on prints for multiple fabrics across bras, panties, lingerie, sleep and loungewear, supporting the Print Designer from concept through pre-production in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3 months to 1.5 years in textile design, a degree in textile design, strong drawing and color skills, and proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.

Qualifications

• Degree in Textile Design or related field.
• Strong illustrative hand, painting skills and color sense.
• Experience with textile prints or related design work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines.
• Attention to detail and time management.
• Passion for print design and color/trend sense.

Responsibilities

• Support Print Designer in creating original prints and graphics from concept through pre-production.
• Communicate effectively with Print Designer and integrate feedback.
• Research emerging print concepts and trends for inspiration.
• Understand production constraints for factory-ready artwork and repeats.
• Assist Designer with strike off comments.
• Practice illustration, repeats, and techniques to improve brand understanding.
