Job summary

Saia LTL Freight in the United States, Ellenwood, GA, is seeking a Terminal Operations Manager to oversee planning and daily terminal functions and lead a team. You will coordinate dock activities, manage pickup and delivery, and drive service quality.

You will direct staff, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and use data analytics to optimize performance, while hiring and onboarding terminal employees and building strong team relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• 5+ years of terminal operations experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and transportation management applications.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates the activities of terminal employees to provide cost effective, timely, and quality service to customers.
• Investigates customer complaints and resolves problems.
• Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Coordinates staffing levels and work scheduling to maximize terminal productivity.
• Oversees compliance with company policies and procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations.
• Uses software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve problems.
• Interviews, selects, and onboards terminal employees.
• Facilitates good employee relations through motivation, feedback, and coaching.
