Job summary

Life Time in Vestavia Hills, AL is seeking a Tennis Assistant Manager to support the Tennis Manager in directing the department, coaching Tennis Pros, and ensuring monthly revenue goals are met.

You will help maintain the department budget, coordinate lessons, supervise staff, assign classes, and contribute to a safe, engaging program that keeps members active.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience teaching tennis lessons.
• USPTA and/or PTR certification required.
• CPR and AED certification within 30 days of hire.

Position Summary

The Tennis Assistant Manager assists the Tennis Manager in the overall direction, coordination and supervision of the Tennis Department. They help the Tennis Manager in ensuring Tennis Pros achieve or exceed monthly revenue goals and assist Tennis Manager in maintaining the Tennis Department business plan and budget.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive tennis lessons and programs to ensure students are satisfied with their program and remain motivated to attain their fitness goals
• Monitors, demonstrates, and instructs students during tennis lessons on proper forms, techniques, and strategies to improve their overall tennis game
• Observes and assesses student's performance to detect and correct mistakes
• Assists with training and developing staff through quality orientations, direction, and feedback
• Assigns Tennis Pros to classes and lessons and assists with payroll
• Assists with ensuring each Tennis Pros achieve or exceed monthly revenue and lesson goals

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years of experience teaching tennis lessons
• United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) and/or Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) certified
• CPR and AED Certified within 30 days of hire
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Requirements

• College degree in Sports and Recreation or related field
