Job summary

Huntley High School is seeking an Assistant Technical Director for the Performing Arts Center. The role oversees lighting and live sound for District 158 productions and external events, with responsibilities including console operation, fixture maintenance, and rapid audio troubleshooting.

The position requires knowledge of theatre tech, safety practices, CAD/Vector design, and DMX; experience with ETC Eos consoles (Gio/Element) is a plus. Evening/weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires working knowledge of theatre, dance, and music productions and presentations; safety procedures and CAD/Vector programs.
• Operational knowledge of ETC Eos products and consoles (Gio/Element) and DMX troubleshooting.
• Experience with live sound reinforcement, video production standards, and rigging practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate lighting consoles and program lighting for productions.
• Maintain automated lighting fixtures and run live sound systems.
• Coordinate wireless frequencies and troubleshoot audio issues.
• Set up, operate, and strike production equipment for shows and rehearsals.
• Supervise student crews and assist with scene shop builds.
• Manage inventory and schedules for evening/weekend events.
