Love working with preschool-age kids? We're looking for a warm, enthusiastic Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our preschool classroom team. You'll work alongside an experienced Lead Teacher supporting children ages 3–5 as they build the skills, confidence, and curiosity they need for kindergarten and beyond.
Assistant Preschool Teacher Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that build early literacy, numeracy, and school readiness skills
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development during this critical pre-kindergarten stage
- Help guide children through the social dynamics of preschool — sharing, cooperation, conflict resolution, and building friendships
- Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment
- Provide individualized attention and supervision to children in your care
- Communicate with families about their child's progress, milestones, and daily activities
- Support routine classroom tasks and adhere to all health, safety, and licensing guidelines

Are You a Fit?
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education a plus
- Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
- Genuine warmth, patience, and empathy for preschool-age children and their families
- Collaborative team player who also works well independently
- Basic understanding of child development and school readiness milestones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
