Job summary

A local early childhood education center in Maple Grove is seeking a passionate teacher to supervise and educate young children. You will assist with daily class functions, support the development of children, and implement approved lesson plans in a safe environment. Ideal candidates should be qualified through MN Rule 3 and possess First Aid and CPR certifications. Join us in making a difference in the lives of children every day.

Qualifications

• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Experience with child safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
• Observe all rules and regulations pertaining to health and safety of children.
• Assist with the implementation of the approved lesson plans.

Skills

Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children

First Aid and CPR certifications

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist with the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
• Observe all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Maple Grove and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
• Assist with the implementation of the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and programming.
• Assist with maintaining an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.

Qualifications and Skills

• Assistant or Lead Teacher qualified through MN Rule 3.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
• First Aid and CPR certifications
