Job summary

The Goddard School is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our on-site Wisconsin team, supporting Lead Teachers and implementing a play-based curriculum for young children.

You’ll maintain a safe, organized classroom, follow health policies, and collaborate with families and staff. A high school diploma is required; CDA or ECE coursework is a plus.

Experience with early childhood education and comfort with tablets are desirable; the role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; CDA or college coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Experience working with young children.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and engage in active play.
• Strong communication skills and comfort with technology (e.g., tablets).

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, clean, child‑friendly classroom and follow health and safety policies.
• Support learning using the Wonder of Learning curriculum and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Foster emotional growth through positive guidance, empathy, and social skills.
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers and families; participate in meetings and professional development.
