Job summary

Lil Sunflowers Learning Academy in Michigan is seeking a caring Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our licensed child care team. You will work with the Lead Teacher to deliver safe, developmentally appropriate activities in a bright, nurturing space.

The ideal candidate brings passion for young children, teamwork, reliable attendance, and strong communication. Training is provided; Michigan CCBC background checks and licensing requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
• Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Supervise children at all times while ensuring compliance with Michigan Child Care Licensing Rules.
• Assist with diapering, toileting, meals, nap time, and daily classroom routines.
• Document children's daily activities through our parent communication app.
• Encourage positive behavior while supporting children's independence and confidence.
• Work collaboratively with the teaching team to create a fun, welcoming learning environment.
