Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher in Oklahoma City, OK to support the Lead Teacher with age-appropriate lessons and activities. You will help maintain a safe, welcoming classroom and engage with children during activities, meals, and outdoor time.

You will observe children's development and share notes with the Lead Teacher, while building strong relationships with families and assisting with attendance and daily reports. Commitment to safety and inclusivity is essential.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Genuine care for children and a commitment to their safety and well-being.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with families.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
