Job summary

The Goddard School of Fulshear, TX is hiring an Assistant Infant Room Teacher to join our caring team. You will support the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate activities, monitor safety, and create a nurturing, engaging classroom where every child can thrive.

We value energy, enthusiasm and creativity. Qualifications include a high school diploma (ECE credentials preferred); you should show empathy, work well with others, and help children develop socially, emotionally and physically

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Works productively without supervision.
• Basic understanding of child development.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging.
• Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment.
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.

Assistant Teacher Key Responsibilities:

• Basic understanding of child development
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements
