Job summary

Dream Care Learning Center in Lexington, KY is seeking an Assistant Infant/Toddler/Pre-School Teacher to support our infants, toddlers and preschool children with a nurturing and structured approach.

The role emphasizes following licensing guidelines, observing child development, communicating with families, and collaborating with the team to deliver engaging learning experiences. Full-time position with daytime hours, competitive hourly pay of $13.00–$16.00 and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Previous childcare experience optional but helpful.
• CPR certification is a plus but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• TB skin test and background check required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Follow licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure daily care of every child.
• Operate as a Lead or Assistant Teacher based on child attendance.
• Observe, assess, and plan for toddler and preschool child behavior and development; communicate with families.
• Complete annual training on current child care and development topics.
• Assist the other teacher in daily activities and changing demands of licensing staffing requirements.
• Provide support during staff breaks and absences to maintain appropriate child-to-staff ratios.
• Support curriculum implementation to create fun, interactive learning experiences.

Assistant Infant/Toddler/Pre-School Teacher

Dream Care Learning Center, located in Lexington KY.

We're searching for energetic assistant teachers who have a passion for working with infants, toddlers and preschool children (age 3 months-4), is well organized, and has previous teaching experience or is willing to develop with the organization. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to engage and support our children while creating a relationship of mutual trust with their families. The goal is to help cultivate the child's motor development and interest in education while being a trusted ally in this process.

As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll:

• Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child in our care.
• Operate as a Lead or Assistant Teacher, based of child attendance.
• Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for toddler and preschool-aged child behavior and development, as well as effectively communicate with families.
• Complete annual training that provides insight on current child care and development topics.
• Assist the Other Teacher in daily activities, changings, while adapting to changing the every changing demands of licensing staffing requirements.
• Provide support during staff breaks and absences to maintain appropriate child-to-staff ratios.
• Support the teacher in implementing organizational curriculum while creating fun, interactive learning experiences.
