The Goddard School located at 3336 Main St, Frisco West 75033 is seeking a motivated and caring Assistant Teacher. You will support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging programs, managing the classroom and ensuring a safe, stimulating environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and an Associate or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Experience working with young children in licensed childcare or preschool.
• Empathy and compassion for young children.
• Ability to work productively without supervision.
• Basic understanding of child development.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pass state background checks and meet state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging.
• Communicate with families about their children's progress and daily activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment.
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.
