Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous childcare experience preferred but not required.
• Must meet state licensing requirements for assistant teachers.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within designated timeframe after hire.
• Ability to engage with children, lift up to 30–40 pounds.
• Strong communication and teamwork with staff, families, and children.
• Patient, nurturing, dependable and flexible with a positive work ethic.
• Must communicate effectively in English with children, families and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing classroom curriculum and adapt activities for each child.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment for exploration and learning.
• Support child development through structured activities and positive guidance.
• Collaborate with Lead Teacher to maintain routines and parental communication.
• Monitor and report progress and concerns to the Lead Teacher.
• Participate in professional development to improve classroom effectiveness.
• Follow health and safety protocols and maintain cleanliness.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Uphold academy standards and comply with licensing requirements.
