Job summary

BASIS Scottsdale Primary West is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our bright, passionate teaching team. The Assistant Teacher role may teach a select number of courses and/or sub for an existing teacher, learning the BASIS Charter School model and program.

Responsibilities include classroom teaching (part-time or substitute), supporting teachers with classroom management, tutoring, events and exams, and helping maintain a positive school culture aligned with BASIS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Ability to work full time
• Willingness to take and pass the NES Elementary Education Assessment, if necessary
• Willingness to be considered for other campuses besides the original campus
• Maintain BASIS Charter School teaching methodologies

Responsibilities

• Classroom teaching, part-time or substitute
• Assist teachers with classroom management
• Student academic support and tutoring
• Assist with events, labs and testing
• Evaluate student progress, needs and gains
• Proctor assessments
• Monitor non-scheduled time, Early Bird/Late Bird supervision, Lunch Monitor duties
• Manage study groups
• Assist Deans/Directors of Student Affairs with behavior and discipline
• Assist with key program execution
