Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support classroom learning under the guidance of the Lead Teacher. You will help create a nurturing environment filled with discovery, creativity, and joy, while assisting with daily activities, observations, and documentation.

You will work with young learners, engage in hands-on activities, meals, and outdoor time, and communicate with families to foster a supportive developmental process.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and able to pass a background check.
• High school diploma or GED is required; early childhood coursework is a plus.
• Commitment to child safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom in line with licensing requirements.
• Engage with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share development notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build warm, consistent communication with families.
